Whether it be by a UN employee deployed in a disaster relief operation, Red Cross personnel engaged in a humanitarian aid effort, prospectors surveying an area for natural resources, or the police monitoring a major sports event.
Information must be collected, collated, structured, reviewed, analysed and distributed in order to support knowledge exchange and the decision making process. Manual processing of such large and diverse amounts of information can be overwhelming and detrimental to the speed of decision-making and may have untold consequences.
AKKA is an easy-to-use tool that is developed to support situations where large amounts of information must be collected from several sources, accurately analysed and re-distributed. A structured way of handling information and transferring it to knowledge increases the efficiency and the quality of decisions to be taken based on the information gathered.
